What is a set registry?
- Published: May 12, 2014, 8 AM
A set registry is a comprehensive list of graded-coin sets that are recognized by grading services such as Numismatic Guaranty Corp. (NGC) or the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS).
Examples of sets that are included in the registries of both NGC and PCGS are Barber half dollars, Morgan dollars and Indian Head 5-cent coins (Buffalo nickels).
