A 558-lot auction of United States coins, paper money and jewelry is being conducted May 31by James Peterson Co. LLC in Shakopee, Minn.

The live auction is being conducted beginning at 1 p.m. Central Time at 1760 4th Ave. E in Shakopee. Bidding is also live online at

Among the lots being offered is a Proof 1902 Coronet $5 gold half eagle; a 1794 Liberty Cap, Head of 1793 cent; and an original box of 50 unwrapped 1962 U.S. Proof sets.

There is a 20 percent buyer's premium added to the final closing price of each lot won.

The half eagle offered is graded Proof 65 cameo by Numismatic Guaranty Corp. The coin is one of 162 1902 half eagles reported to have been struck in Proof at the Philadelphia Mint.
