Heritage Auctions recently offered a double-struck 1949 20-centavo coin from Cuba that sold for $7,800, a good indication of the popularity of error coins worldwide.

At a GreatCollections auction, Mint State examples of Morgan dollars in early slabs identifying them as from the LaVere Redfield hoard realized great returns.
