Although 12 restrikes of the Adelaide £5 coin from the 1852 dies were produced in 1921, demand was so low that five examples were later melted. Of the seven that survived, only two are in private hands. This piece was graded Mint State 66 by NGC and has an estimate of £350,000 to £400,000 (about $575,625 to $657,857 U.S.).
